Goals for 2026

Last year, I set a lot of goals for Azdion. It was very optimistic! It’s good to be optimistic, but it’s also good to acknowledge when an images- and comics-heavy website is run by two bears who also do freelance art and illustration as a primary source of income.

What happened to last year’s goals? Well, An Answer In Glass (Local Heroes) stalled out as I realized the story didn’t really lend itself to a comic format. I mean, anything can be in a comic format, but it was shaping up to be a lot of time and effort for what the story was. As for the various Bottle World zines about acorns, goosefoot, and compost, I realized while trying to make more dandelion zines that my technique was… flawed. I’ve been using cardstock stencils and paint, and I was finding that the stencils didn’t hold up over time. I’ll be looking into ways to revive and improve my zine process.

My main focus for Azdion this year will be a sequel to Bottle World: The Key Suspect. This sequel, tentatively called Answers Any Witch Way, is planned out at over 50 pages. Even if I manage a page per week, I don’t think I can get it done within the year. However, I’ll do what I can, and I plan to share my progress each month.

I’m going to wrangle L so we can double check that the membership system is working, as well as its Patreon integration. I may just cross-post things to Patreon in the meantime, for ease of access.

That’s all for now!
